Metal fans – rejoice! The wait for these legends to come to town are finally over, as American trash metal band Megadeth makes its way to Kuala Lumpur on May 4, 2017. Widely considered the ‘big four’ of the trash metal music genre (alongside greats like Metallica, Anthrax and Slayer), the band will be performing live at Stadium Negara as part of their Dystopian World Tour.
Founded in 1983 by Dave Mustaine after his departure from Metallica, the current lineup includes David Ellefson (guitar), Kikko Loureiro (bassist) and Dirk Verbeuren (drums). Fresh out of the Grammys with a ‘Best Metal Performance’ Award for their 15th studio album, Dystopia, its clear that the guys still have it after all these years and are set to deliver a rocking performance.
Tickets are priced at RM428 (Deth Pitt Zone, free standing), RM388 (VIP, numbered seat), RM358 (Rock zone, free standing), RM288 (CAT1 numbered seats) and RM198 (CAT2 free seating).
Now let’s just hope the local religious authorities won’t pull a fast one on us again (they banned them from performing in Hard Rock Cafe KL back in 2001)
